My Dear Friends,
I find myself thinking often of the roads that were paved for us when the path was uncertain and there were still generational first. Today we stand on shoulders that were broad and unyielding, and personally my own uncle, Gregory Ashby, was the epitome of a trail blazer.
Gregory understood a fundamental truth: that a person’s worth is not always measured by the marks on a ledger or the grades on a transcript, but the resilience in their soul. It is in that spirit of enduring grace that I ask you to join me in fortifying the Ashby Legacy through a tax-deductable donation to the scholarship endowment at his alma mater, Central State University (EIN: 31-1750837 is a 501(c)(3) charity).

We are looking toward Akron, a place of grit and transformation. We are looking for that student who perhaps hasn't yet found their footing in the hallowed halls of academia, but who possesses the raw potential to lead, to serve, and to soar.

We are looking toward Akron, Gregory’s hometown. We are looking for that junior or senior student who perhaps hasn't yet found their footing in academia, but who possesses the raw potential to lead, to serve, and to soar. A student that needs a little support while crossing the finish line to prepare for the next step and life after graduation.
